Paula Rogers is named a finalist in the IMAGE Businesswoman of the Year Awards 2018

Paula Rogers, founder of Admiral Recruitment, has been named a finalist in the IMAGE Businesswoman of the Year Awards 2018 under ‘CEO of the Year category’.

The winners will be announced at a gala awards dinner in Dublin on Monday 19th November.

Now in its 12th year, the awards celebrate Ireland's most extraordinary women in business across Ireland and internationally.

Paula Rogers was born into a family of seventeen to a farming family in rural Dublin. She was the youngest and had watched her older siblings leave the nest with confidence and determination to be a success.

In 1989, at just 21 years of age, Paula followed her older sisters to London to begin a job within the corporate world. She experienced her first step into the world of recruitment by getting some work as a temp with a London-based recruitment company. Very quickly, Paula was offered a role there and began life in recruitment.

After five fantastic years, during which time she received some great mentoring, Paula went on to establish Admiral Recruitment in 1995.

The company specialises in recruitment within the hospitality sector, servicing four niche markets: Business and Industry Hospitality, Business services, Pubs, Bars & Restaurants.

Based in the City and west London, Admiral Recruitment has a database of over 100,000 candidates and has a projected annual turnover of £11.5 million for 2019.

A Fellow of the Institute of Hospitality and a great supporter of women, Paula appears on the Women 1st Top 100 Listing of the most inspiring and dynamic women within the UK hospitality sector.

A mother of two, Paula juggles the demands of running her thriving recruitment business with family life and she still finds time to represent Ireland internationally at Triathlon events.

She said: “This is a great moment for me; to be honoured as a finalist in the IMAGE Businesswoman of the Year Awards 2018 and join so many fantastic Irish business women in Dublin on the awards night is a dream come through. I feel truly humbled to have been.”

Clodagh Edwards, CEO of IMAGE Publications, said: “As the IMAGE Businesswoman of the Year Awards enters its 12th year, it is becoming increasingly difficult to compile a shortlist from such an extensive line-up of significant individuals.

“The women who made this shortlist are extraordinary, and real game-changers in business. Congratulations to all.”
